Herewith the sort of press release letter:

Dear all,

Offroad & Adventure SA Discontinued
Your Offroad & Adventure SA magazine is no longer going to be published, with the last one being the January 2016 issue which will come off the shelves Mon/Tues 25/26 January, when the February issue of Bike SA will go on. It may seem a strange decision in view of the fact that it was SA’s biggest-selling offroad/adventure motorcycle magazine and was dicing Superbike magazine to be the second-biggest of all the magazines in the country. We have made a business decision to instead concentrate on maintaining and expanding our core endeavours, which are the very successful Bike SA magazine, now celebrating 41 years of being SA’s top-selling motorcycle magazine, and ventures like the Rhino, Impala, Paradise and Scooter rallies, the Namib Desert Run, the 24 Hour Endurance race and our rock-solid Hartbeespoort Resort and other odd properties.
The nice part is that we face the economic future with the advantage that there is no debt burden - no leases, HPs, mortgages…
And we are well-established also in the social media sphere especially Facebook with Bike SA having 321000 followers on its page, Offroad & Adventure SA 26000, which puts us in first and second place in the country in print media. And, to complete the clean sweep, in third place the Simon Fourie page has 16000 followers in addition to the maxxed out 5000 on his Profile.

The good content of Offroad will not be totally lost, with the top writers like Hein Ecksteen, Nick Yell, Matt Smith and John Bentman being accommodated alongside the Bike SA brilliance of the likes of Charley Cooper, Howie Zowie, Sir Alan Cathcart, Mike Scott, Gavin Morton, Jan Minnaar, Johan Van Eck, Dr.Phil…

Yours sine cera,

Simon Fourie
