I have been looking for a XR650R for a while now-used to have a XR500R in the early '80's and missed having a light weight hooligan bike.
I have looked at a few bikes but ,while all have been well maintained and cared for,I still kept on looking for a "new"one.
I spoke to George Honda Wing as they brought in a few Baja spec bikes in 2008.They put me onto an owner of one of the original bikes who was prepared to sell for his price and no hanna-hanna.I took out a mortgage on the farm and picked it up yesterday.The bike is spotless,original back tire,probably done max 3-4000 km.The bike has no speedo or odo.
