Keep a stick and moer it into the front wheel when you need to stop

That's what really worries me, I use a pretty small budget for my biking, now ordering parts for 10k will put my biking on hold for  a month or three !

Japanese motorcycle maufacturers price all their exports in US$,
irrespective of the export country.
So we don't pay R - Yen exchange, we pay Rand-dollar.

Ja sy weet en nee sy weet ook nie. Beter so  :imaposer:

With the exchange rate as it is, the vehicle  industry has resorted to the razor and blade business model. To keep sales going, they sell the vehicle at close to cost and then recoup the money on after sales.
Why do things that only happen to stupid people always happen to me?

I needed two brushes for the KLE starter motor and the stealers quoted me about R 900.  Granted it comes on the plate but that's unnecessary.  I can get a complete rebuild kit on Wemoto with bushes, bearings, seals, plate, brushes etc shipped to SA for about GP 26.  I ended up buying two brushes on Ebay for R 250.  I understand the exchange rate has gone pear shaped but I feel the stealers are ripping us off big time.   :o

Been doing that since my Oupa were selling Peugeots and Cirtroens for Clows in Vereeniging and he passed on in 1968.

It is called capitalism.  You charge what the market will bear.  We have gone to war to protect it.

We didn't go to war to protect rampant profiteering and price collusion, but rather to protect free competition to keep prices down.

True capitalism means selling at your keenest price to capture the market from your rivals.

Jeez....

If the Agent / Dealer / Stealer pays the Rand / US$ exchange rate import price, and stocks the part, then we say he is ripping us off.

If he decides fuggit, he's not going to pay R1000 for an air filter he may never sell, then we crucify him because he never has any stock and we wait months for a simple part.

eish.... I'm glad I'm not a dealer in these tough economic times.
