Everyone knows the name, but who knows where this pass actually is?
The good Afrikaans people that farm in the Ceres omgewing (like everywhere in SA) are a practical lot and they sort things out when confusion sets in. We explain the Witzenberg Valley and how it is differentiated from the Agter-Witzenberg Valley. Our featured pass this week connects the Koue Bokkeveld with Agter Witzenberg and at the northernmost end of this 20 km long valley of fruit orchards and farms, is a remote little mountain cottage nestled on the banks of the Olifants River as it tumbles through the canyon at Visgat. You can hire it and replenish your city weary soul.
