Where to go this Easter...?
« on: February 01, 2016, 06:01:52 am »
SWAMBO wants to get away for an extended Easter Weekend.
I am avoiding Limpopo because of the ZCC gathering at that time.
Does anyone have ideas where to go? I am rather unimaginative right now.

Requirements:
1. up to 2 hours drive by car from Gauteng
2. good roads (no 4x4)
3. Self-catering for a couple
4. Double bed
5. Over 55 friendly
6. Budget - around R500-600 / day for couple

She wants to read, do a little walking and I want to chill.
Peace and quiet appreciated.

Edit:   My first choice was Kaapsehoop, but it's full up.

Arriving PM Thu 24 March - Dep AM Tue 29th (5 nights)

Thanks.

i second Waterval Boven 2.5 hour ride from jhb. there is a few place you can stay. Great climbing, hiking and mountain bike riding. Nothing much happens in the main town you blink and you through it. If you want to chill its the place to go to. My son stays on a farm there and it is great area for adventure bike if you take your stead with. If you decide to go let me know i will send some contact numbers

Between Belfast & Dullstroom there is a place called Elandskloof that we have stayed at a couple of times - they have chalets & camping, fly fishing, walks & stuff.
www.majita.co.za - we sell tools!
