The Place of the Crocodile

Mpumalanga has some great passes and all too often we whizz by those on the main routes without stopping. Next time you're headed to the Place of the Crocodile (Emgwenya) or far more beautifully articulated in high Dutch as Waterval-Boven, take a look at the Elands Pass and it's many offerings to the visitor, which range from a museum, an old arched bridge and rack-rail tunnel and of course a 75m high waterfall. There's a lot more, when you dig a little into the details. And then there are all those perfectly banked corners.....
