Looking for a Cam Chain Tensioner
« on: February 18, 2016, 07:41:04 pm »
As I'm sure most know the 690 is super noisy when it's comes to the rubbish hydraulic cam chain tensioner. Any know where I can get a after market tensioner from in SA.

I belief that Rallye Raid UK makes the only manual tensioner for the 690.  You can order from them or KTM Twins.  But if yours are noisy, either you have an oil spec/pressure issue or it is sticky through contamination. Remove and clean of run an engine flush.   Mine is pretty quiet.

Some more research shows that this is true. I will remove it and see if there is anything I can do to clean it.
