During my last trip my exhaust gave me quite a few worried nights. It seems it has been designed to fit hanging quite far out compared to the standard one. It burnt a hole through my tent and sleeping bag, melted most of the plastic fender on that side, melted straps that were what I thought out of the way etc. Now I want to cut the exhaust shorter to try get it to fit better. Anyone done this before? It can't be too hard, while I'm at it ill repack it with 'stuffing'. What effects did it have on the engine?
