I noticed that when I start my bike up, sometimes there is a fuel smell.
I had read on our local BMW Club Website how to reset the throttle bodies but couldn't find the post again.
So I put the bikes ignition on without starting it and gently rolled open the throttle to full lock, then closed it. I repeated this five times and just for good measure, I switched off and on the ignition and repeated this process again.
So far so good, no petrol smell and the bike seems smoother, maybe it is my imagination but I am pleased.
Can any one confirm this is the way to reset the throttle bodies on the LC?,
Hmmm I couldn't really find anything about this but sounds like the procedure my XChallenge uses to reset the TPS /IPS.
One have to do it while the bike has run a little.
Idle or run til operating temperature. Switch bike off then on. Slowly turn throttle open and closed 3 times. Switch bike off then back on.
