I saw a LC with Anakee Wilds at Zambezi today ... a customer's bike . They don't know where he got the tyres. They look realy impressive !!

BUT .... I cannot wait any longer ...

I am going for the Pirelli Scorpion Rally..... Will see how they compare to the Karoo 3's.

Lekker tyres.... Wat kos 'n stel nou ?

So R4k by Zambezi .

Saw this feedback on the Anakee Wilds on FB

NOT MY PHOTOS OR WRITING

An update about my Michelin Anakee Wild.
This is how it looks after 6000km.
It's almost dead but still quite a grip on asphalt.
In offroad - as You all can predict: the only easy day was yesterday :P
Solo rider. 60/40 on/off riding.
Luggage ratio: 70% rear panniers, 20% rear rollbag, 10% rear pannier.
The rider likes to twist the throttle.

So - expect no mileage miracles but I will recommend that tyre as an alternative to TKC80 for a try.

Up to You ;)

ok, O-N-L-Y Anakee Wild tyres (fronts) 120/70/19's will be available around 01st week in May 2016 (do NOT flame me :angry4: if they are stuck in a container in Honolulu, I am not the importer, but the Retailer! )

then, a couple of moths later, the 150's and 170's (think 1200 oil-cooled and 1200 Liquid-cooled will be shipped).

They have NOT been launched yet, seems possibly that Durban outfit jumped the gun with PRE-publicity - nothing wrong with that, other than fueling unmet demand!  :BangHead:

More during the 1st week of May.... 2016?  ;D
Cheers

I'm a few days late in reporting back, rang H/O last Thursday to get back tome, will ring again tomorrow; what seems to be true is that their will be VERY limited sizes until July/Aug, when the vital 150's and 170's should arrive.
Update tomorrow
Chris
phoned suppliers again now; no news whatsoever on Anakee Wilds expected importation date, but no time soon, allegedly.
Damn!

So for you guys with the experience - is the circumference of the Anakee III and the wild the same?  I see the knobbies are quite thick and they seem thicker than the rubber on the road tyres.  Where do they compromise?  Tyre volume or circumference?
I started biking as an under achiever and it went downhill from there...
