Strongs in your new country and may all work out well!
My heart goes out to you for having to leave your son behind, but in my case my daughter got married, immigrated to the UK and I only see her on whattsapp!
No chance of me going there and it is not high on my son in laws list to come to visit!
Your plan looks good and chances are good that he will follow you!

Thks for your feedback Mr Z:Its always good to hear other peoples view points and experience. You have great courage at this stage of your life but it is the right thing to have done and I support your move totally.
I have a son who has studied in the States and has now lived in London for 8 yrs so I have a feeling of when close family is left behind
I wish you and your family and great future but...........keep us updated.

best wishes
Bruce

I visited Orlando FL and found the humidity to be like Durban on a bad day.
I have family living in Charlotte NC and they say the Carolinas is where many people who move from the cold North to FL
relocate to as a more moderate climate.
Good luck with resettlement.
Find us some good suppliers there!

Good on you Gary. You saw my comment on the lightie in the other thread. I reckon with the laptop you guys wil be okay. Keep asking his mom for him to go over for the holi´s. If she is a good mother in time she will let him go. Never give up hope or trying.

The mind boggles at how many people are leaving. We left again after trying SA for a 2nd time for 12 months. This time most likely for good. Living in Amsterdam now.

Good luck Mr Zog

I will be following. This is very interesting to me. I am thinking of doing some part time work in the USA and for that I have to leave my 8 year old son who lives with me behind for those few months and even that is almost a deal breaker to me. Best of luck to you.
