Young enough to know I can, old enough to know I shouldn't, stupid enough to do it anyway.

I scored another generator. Not a really big one, more of a "jobsite" genny.

It's in pretty rough shape, I dunno if I can salvage this one. But Maggie sat and had a good look at it while I was at work today...

She says she thinks it's critter-related problems  :deal:

And the dogglies decided that the blind on the window needed to be opened so that they could observe any squirrels that may decide to infiltrate the garden.

Maggie likes to have the height advantage  :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:

For humans, about as exciting as watching paint dry. For doggos, fascinating. Because... lizards!  ;D

On Sunday Mr. Zog placed a desk for me into the study, under the window. I haven't had a proper desk so far; I've been working on the sofa, which is killing my back.

This morning Maggie looked at me, standing by my chair, making her little "uh, uh" sounds (which we know means "I want" - you just have to figure out what it is). I lifted her onto the desk and she's been there for a couple of hours now, dead happy.

Nope. Those jars were stored under the house. That means a mobile home. We have a "real" house  :peepwall:  :imaposer:

It's Thursday evening.

So far this week I have invoiced $10 071.00 at work. That is around R152 000 at this evenings exchange rate  :eek7:

I have also been getting some very good reviews on Home Advisor, that is a website that recommends different companies to the public for different jobs, like plumbers, electricians, etc.  When the job is done the customer can leave a review on the website for other potential customers to see.

So with all this in mind I approached the boss and hit him up for an increase.  :peepwall:

And I was successful!  :ricky:

From Monday I'll be getting an additional $1,10 per hour. So with an average week, after taxes, I should take home an extra $40 or so. But hey, maybe it means that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't the approaching train  :spitcoffee:

Driving home I was in a good mood. And the sunset I saw while stuck in traffic was pretty great, even for Florida

Good stuff Mr Zog - your boss can recognise quality when he sees it. Pity you have to remind him though - would be nice if he did it out of his own. Still - good work.

What the man said.
Then again, an employer doesn't get wealthy by paying more for something if they can get the same quality for less.
