Love the pic of the kayak moored up on the jetty.

Definitely screensaver material.

Glad you had a good weekend.

Mine was actually good too, food, work, relaxing.

Spoiled rotten!

Mrs Zog went off to Publix while I was fishing and she found some lamb chops on special! So as a special fathers-day treat she bought a pack for us!

This evening I put them on the braai, with some sausages, and two little steaks. Mrs Zog has also gotten a couple of corn-on-the-cob at the local farmers market, so after she boiled them I put them on the braai for a few minutes too...

A lovely dinner was had, right now I am too full to move....  :o

Thanks Liefie!  ;)    Love you stukkend!

Lion tjops kos al amper R130 vir so ses by Spar. So dit is nie te ver af nie. Maar ek stem saam met Draadwerk, drank en vleis is altyd 'n bargain.

Yes, and that's the sale price. Normally it's twice that! And yes, it's organic and from Australia, and that's the only kind we get here. We did go to the Latino market once last year and bought some cheap lamb there, but it turned out to be goat...  >:(

We just got another donation, thank you very kindly, you know who you are!

Although we have the air tickets now covered, we are keeping the donation page open and running, because we still have to cover theme park tickets and the occasional ice cream and souvenirs... any amount is greatly appreciated!  :thumleft:

The link to the donation page is down here in my signature.

The important stuff in life......

Ice Cream, Candy Floss and Canada Dry.  As Jeremy Taylor used to say https://youtu.be/0Hr75pqA8bo

I hope you guys end up with all the funds to make this an unforgettable holiday for everyone involved.

And of course we know there will be photos.

Through the magic of the internet, you guys have become our family in America.

Doing what many of us just dream of doing.

(In retrospect, I should have opted for a transfer to America in 2002 when I got moved to the UK.)

Canada Dry is still available here in the USA... I can remember it YEARS ago in the RSA... Unfortunately now I get heartburn from ginger  :(

Maybe you should have chosen the USA, we all know you are an undercover redneck too  :peepwall:  :pot:  :imaposer:  :imaposer:  :imaposer:

R130 for 4 chops  :o

Yip.

That is why it is only for very special occasions...

That is an hour's labour for me, in fact about 75 minutes. Because I have to pay tax too... then I can buy food etc.   Worked out ok though, because it took me about 75 minutes to cook the chops, and then eat them. They were frikken GOOD  :drif: :drif: :drif:   even though they were Aussie sheepshagger loin chops  :eek7:  :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:

Yes, this just happened a street down from us.  Welcome back tourists and welcome back to summer at Bear Lake once again!  You couldn't do this if you tried.  The black truck rear-ended the boat pulled by the white truck and launched the boat perfectly on top of the truck.

Only in the USA!
