Just had the most awesome weekend with KiLeRsa, Kaboef (and much prettier pillion), Lucky Striker, Butch and on Sunday were joined by Masehare and pillion and an anonymous soon to be announced friend.
We went to Tulbagh on Saturday, having met at Krige's at 12. (everyone on time - nearly fell on my back, because this is really unusual in the Cape). Rode to le Bruyere near Tulbagh - what a beautiful place and what friendly hosts. Popped up the hill and admired the view. Sat nite was an absolute jol. Much was consumed and it got funny, not stupid, all got to sleep late and boy does KiLeRsa know his music. Sunday we stopped at Spur in Ceres for breakfast and then buggered off into the middle of nowhere. Nice long dirt ride ended up in Katbakkies pass - highly recommended and beautiful ride. Best of all is the people we rode with. No politics, just good riding and loads of fun. Am looking forward to part 2 with anticipation. So come on guys, make some plans and let's do it. 5 passes down (michells, gydo, katbakkies, theronsberg and bainskloof) and 69 to go.
