KLE 500 crashbars
« on: April 04, 2016, 10:11:11 am »
Which crashbars are you guys using? (KLE 500 2005)
It would seem only SWMotech makes crash bars for them, is that correct?

If anyone  has a set they want to get rid off, please let me know before I order new ones.

thanks.

How good is the protection? From the images available it looks like two simple loops and not much cross bracing or anything.

There is a brace that bolts the two sides together and also bolts to the downtubes on the frame.. Not very visible in most images on the net..

I'm still looking for Crashbars for the KLE 500. After being messed around by a shop, I'm back to having to put in a special order and wait 4 months.
Used or new, I'm looking for anything.
First choice, SW-Motech
Second choice, Krauser.

Hi Titanic.

My bars came today, got them locally made by a place in the cape. R2 070 shipped to PTA. They look like quality items, pic attached. If I have time I will fit 2morrow and upload some more pics.

The place is Waltec Engineering 044 693 one eight 3 one. hvdwaltec@gmail.com.

Very nice and a decent price.
I ended up ordering swmotech's two months a go. It seems I will have them early December.😥
At least I won't have to shop for a xmas gift for my wife. Lol

Here is the bike with the crash bars on. I like the look, it looks more purposeful.

Just give yourself +- 2 hours to fit though...  as getting some of those bolts lined up can be a bit of a mission!
