If I look at the pics and positions of the bike and car that was hit I would say someone rode out in front of this guy expecting him to turn left at the intersection but he was going straight.

Bike swerved right to miss car in intersection that rode out in front of him and bike ended up hitting white car in pic, spinning round to where she lies now??

What you guy thinks??

Hi there

It was Heavy Metal that was in the accident. He overtook a car that had had moved into the left of the lane. The driver then deliberately swerved right again, pushing him into oncoming traffic. He then hit an oncoming car. This is what all the witnesses say happened.
All Heavy Metal knew was that he was on the bike at one moment and rolling around on tar, for what felt like forever, the next.

The car that pushed him into the right lane slowed down but then sped off again.

Heavy Metal in is in hospital...and very eina. Lots of small breaks and fractures but nothing too serious.

His knee clearly has a huge hole in it, which was operated on this morning, but it wasn't broken.

His wrist however is broken, along with his pinkie finger and small toe.

Lucky for him the surgeon cleaned out all his wounds while he was under general anaesthetic today. Shame he is in a lot of bloody pain but at least they are keeping him dosed up.

What's amazing is all the support that was received from people that stopped at the scene. It's so refreshing to experience some of the good that's in the world!

I will pass on everyone's well wishes!

Thanks guys.

Glad to hear he only  has minor injuries to deal with.  Hope someone got the details for the idiot and he must open a case of attempted murder

Ja unfortunately that happens far too often but we should remember that there could have been something in the emergency lane that forced the car back into the main lane and Heavy Metal could've been in the blind spot.

Moonchicken do you where this was exactly .... looks like Stellenbosch but I can't place the exact location?

It happened close to the Wild Clover on the R304.

I'd like to believe it was simple as something in the emergency lane - not sure if the person actually even was in te emergency lane - will need to find out, but even if that was the case what sort of person would then just speed away after what he's done? Doesn't sound innocent to me...

Hi Famous Farmer, no they didn't get a plate but hopefully one of the many cameras on that road did...

:imaposer: steeds baie snaaks.
