Thanks for all the well  wishes, doing much better, it'll just take time. Even though it is a shitty incident, it has once again showed how awesome people can be when the shit hits the fan, like the lady traffic cop that came to visit me in hospital just to see how i was doing, and many others.

Now to start looking for a new bike!! The quote to repair my bike is R 298 655.42 ..... that is for a 2007GSA.   ;D Crazy!!!

They must have factored the car's damage in as well. :sip:

nah, probably genuine  :-\

would be cool if distributors are forced by law to also declare a new bikes cost built up from spares that they supply - think about it........

HM, I'm glad to hear you are on the mend.  :thumleft:
I hope your bike can be replaced with another that you love.  ;)

Can you remember what happened and tell us,
so that we may also learn from your experience...?

I really don't know what happened, all i remember is that was riding the one moment, and the next i was going down and thinking WTF is happening, and then waiting for a car to hit me as i knew i was going into oncoming traffic. Fortunately that didn't happen, although the bike hit a car. I am very very lucky!!!

Concerning the bikes.....my mind have been playing tricks on me  , keeps cycling through 990, 1190, 1200GSA...and so on. Will see what the insurance pays and where the wheel stops.  :thumleft:
