When I went to cape aghulas it took me three hours to get through the traffic in stellenbosch. And that was out of season!!
I want to drive ride to places that are new and exciting and my my heart and eyes full!

I have to agree with you...and I very seldom agree with a woman  it also took me about 3hrs to get thru Stellies after my ride to Aghulas and I swore I would never return. Even on a bike the traffic was just so congested that there was nowhere to ride

:imaposer: :imaposer: Three hours to get through Skelmbosch  :imaposer: No wonder some people there are forever suurgat  ;D

Jokes aside, is it not about the journey rather than the destination?

I felt all my joburg road rage come flooding back like a warm tsunami of goats milk and chilli

If it took you 3 hours to get trough Stellenbosch traffic, why don't you admit that you spend 2h45 of it in one of those lekker pubs in/or around town?   :spitcoffee:

This stuck-in-traffic problem stems from many "bikers", and this an personal observation, sitting behind cars in the line, like they were in cars themselves.

Stellenbosch traffic, although horrible at certain times, can never take you that amount of time to go through the town, not even in a car.

The question you should ask is this; "What am I, Mad ass, doing wrong?"

Because you seem to be doing things wrong everywhere. This wrongdoings is robbing you of seeing the good times. :ricky:

ry jy met 'n dubbel-as trailer agter jou bike? Stellenbosch peak traffic tussen Technopark en Kayamandi  = 10 minute tops

So where is this thread on which places are worth seeing? Or is there only negativity?   (Edit: Found it!)

3hrs through Stellenbosch? were you walking?

Stellenbosch - only criminals and liberals...

Franschoek - a gay town, with little to be gay about...

Langebaan - best RR place for people in Iraq... Go find a lonely wife

Paarl - upper Wellington.  Visit Dal Josephat on a Saturday... If you are more brave, play at Dal Josephat on any day.

Lees my vorige mail. Daar is n moerse groot verskil om bike te ry en te ry tussen die karre op n normale dag op n gewoone bike, teen n bike wat gepak is vir twee mense wie op n twee week vakansie is

Nothing wrong with the Cape.
Yes there is traffic because lots of people want to live and visit here.
Yes, if you go to the touristy places you will not find what you are looking for.
But there is no better place in SA then the Cape.
Just keep away from all the people and find the less travelled roads and the adventures and memories will come.
Riding a bike here is a joy and if you plan to keep away from all the people and touristy places you will find the gems and the true meaning of peace and happiness
