Confirmed.  JL99 and Yamaha will not be partners from the end of the 2016 season.  Yamaha confirmed that today, but did not say where JL was going, nor who would replace him at Yamaha.  My guess is rumours are spot on.

Both good riders, I hope 1 of them jumps on the Suzuki - I've been waiting for years and years to see Suzuki perform again

Dovi would be great for Suzuki development in conjunction with a young rider like Vinales as a partner. Eleix Espargaro is good but he is not a talent like Vinales. If Suzuki loose Vinales its going to hurt them and im sure they will try everything to keep him. Another maybe,possibly is Pol Espargaro going to the factory Yamaha. I know he has a contract directly with Yamaha and was muted 2 years ago as a possible Rossi successor. There will be some big seats available next year. Tech 3,KTM rider number 2, possibly Suzuki and of course yamaha factory. I also dont think Andrea Lannone is 100% safe at Ducati. He is also out of contract end of this season.

Interesting indeed.  This must be the silliest silly season in a long time as all the top riders have expiring contracts at the end of 2016. 

I think Vinales will jump ship to the factory Yamaha.  He would be nuts not to, if offered the ride and althought both Tech3 Yamaha riders are on Yamaha's payroll, one is off to KTM and the remaining one (Espargaro) doesn't seem on par.  Yamaha will also note that Vinales is regularly riding dirt bikes at Rossi's ranch.
