I've just had a chance meeting with a chap called Steve who is offering a roadside assist service.
He charges a R200 flat fee (and R3 per Km beyond 30Km from Milnerton) and will pick up your bike in an enclosed van, any time day or night.
Guys are using him when they have too much to drink at 0200 in the morning to pick them up and take them home!
He's negotiating with BMW roadside assist to provide a service on their behalf at the moment (though I think the "broken because of bottle" will remain a "for own account" service Smiling )
