Day1 Wednesday; Cape Town, Franchhoek, offroad to Bot River, across to Karwders and Hemel and Aarde and on to Tesserlasdal, fill up in Stanford and then down to Elim, Dwarskeerdersbos, Struisbaaai and overnight in Arniston.
Day 2 Thursday. Arniston to Bredarsdorp, cut across to Malgas (unfortunately the pont was clsoed for maintenance. Back to Swellemdam, backroads to Heidelberg, fill up, and then up Gysmanshoek Pass (unfortunately again the top of the pass has been severly damaged in floods and closed. Rode across to back of Riversdale and up and over Garcia Pass to turnoff to Brandrivier.
Quick stop at Ronnies and then overnight at Warmwaterberg.
Day 3 Friday. From Warmwaterberg through Sanbona and up on to the plateau before descending into Montagu for breakfast.
Montagu to Robertson and up and over Eilandia Pad in a huge wind and dust storm and the beginning of the massive bad weather.
From Villiersdorp the weather got increasingly bad with at least one 22 wheeler overturned. Franschhoek pass was like riding in a washing machine.
