Don't know the name of this fellow.
Wow, in your garden?
I don't know but it looks like a Kaapse Grysbok? Don't know the English name..
Cape Grysbok. Beauts
Years ago my dogs treed a large leguaan and as we were on our way for a long weekend, I called them off thinking that the leguaan would use the respite to make his escape.
Three days later we returned and I found the poor bugger still up the tree and seemly unable to climb down. Cost me to climb up, grab it by the tail and lower it to a more accessible branch. Then some more of the same until we were low enough and boy, did it hurtle down the slope into the bush.
Yes, Cape Grysbok! Its also part of the "tiny ten"! Others are the blue duiker, grys duiker, red duiker, suni, oribi, steenbok, etc don't know the rest.
Interesting the tiny wildlife..
