Pieter - Baviaans proper (and the best part) is the Reserve area, and yes is far more technical and spectacular than just the ride in to Dooringkloof from Willowmore. No-one can really claim they have 'done Baviaans' until they have ridden right through.

So BigDom, by this definition I'd have to drive through Cape Town to claim I was there. Not just when I enter the boundaries of the city???

Sounds like a bit of a stir, Chris, or just a misunderstanding of the true message of that post? But then, I might be misunderstanding you: By your definition I can claim that I've experienced Cape Town if I've visited a friend in Kraaifontein, or even just passed through Kraaifontein? There is a beeeeg difference between "done Cape Town" and "been to Kraaifontein" I think.

I did not know that the other side looks like that and If BD did not say so or posted pics I would have felt like a poepol if I ever said "I've done Baviaans". Now only do I know what the guys meant by saying stuff like "from which side have you entered Baviaans?".

But where are the photies!!??

It's like saying you know how to ride Yamahas but in fact you know nothing about riding Yamahas until a Yamaha oilreservoir dipstick hits you on the chest with oil over you :deal: >:D :lol8:

It is definitely a stir...

I went to Thailand a few years back. Only had the opportunity to see some places south from Bangkok, so have I been to Thailand or not? :pot:

Definitely if you have not been to Bangkok you have not 'done' Thailand.  >:D  Hey I went to Brackenfell ... lekker to have done Stellenbosch and the wine route.  :imaposer:
I think 2SD's spoon is soon to be handed over like the proverbial relay baton  :lol8:

Seriously Baviaanskloof is not the gravel highway to Doringkloof from Willowmore. If you have not done the rest you may not understand, if you have you will agree.  :thumleft:

:ricky: :ricky:

Terwyl julle nou so tou-trek..... :imaposer:

Dis net vir my vreeslik erg dat ek nou moes hoor hoe ek en 85 ander WD's nie in die Baviaanskloof/Baviaans was die afgelope naweek nie. Dan waar die moer was ons?
