There will be camping facilities and I will investigate all the details and post here. Or there is the Yserfontein camp site just a couple of clicks away.

The Marshalls will need to be there pretty early and will be working the enrtire race which will be at least 7 hours long.

I will get the organisers to get an exact brief in terms of the responsibilities and post it here too.

Come now! Where are all thse 4x4's - now its time to get them off the pavement.

We really trying to turn this into the premier event of the Western Cape in the future.

Even if you do not want to marshall it is still a great outing for the family and friends, so bring all your single female friends (weather is going to be hot, so mini skirts will be in order)

For the guys there will be "strippers"there I promise!

We manged such a great turn out for the Toy Run - why not again

We had a club race at the venue this weekend. All I can say is that they course was brilliant and the venue amazing. Herewith the official promo poster for the event. Tell all your friends and family about it. We would love to see a huge turnout.

Whats required. Would like to have guys there on friday the 1st. (to show you round the course and show you all the short tracks to and from Main area). Guys we would like responsible individuals with fairly good off road skills. You will be required to start at 7am on saturday and will be busy for the entire day. You will be split up into groups and be asign a specific loop, which you will have to patrol and help stuck riders and report injuries and such to main contol. Will not be such a hard task and once we have shown you the short track will never be furhter than 15 minutes from main control.

And on sunday if you are up to it we will let yhou loose on the track for a fun ride.

Offroad racing is taking a hammering from all sides, not the least from its governing body Motorsport SA.
Setting up an event like this is a thankless job mostly done by people for the love of it.

Maybe start a WD tradition of helping out.

My name is on the list, but it must be doable on a Vara & 1200GSA or a Corsa/Bantam bakkie. If not I am out.

So true Shark, my sister is very involved with ZMSA (Zululand MSA) and they always have to rope in friends and family to help with marshaling etc. I have done my fair share when I was living up that way.
