The standard pegs that come with the new AT are far too small for my liking so bought some larger ones pictured below. If you look at the standard product you will see they are angled slightly upwards. Suppose it makes sense to try avoid your boot slipping off. Unfortunately the much larger pegs use the same angle and makes it feel like my ankles are bending in. Am going to grind the body to get them more level.

Due to the pivot design they sit further out from the bike and makes it feel like you have to turn your foot in every time you want to access the levers. So far not too happy and if you have pegs you like please post pictures and details here.

On my old AT, I welded a spare footpeg to the original...side by side. Worked well.

One thought I had was welding the larger footpeg on to the standard body but would never trust them after being cut and welded so went in and out of my head. Welding an additional bit of meat on makes so much sense... Thank you

Somebody mentioned that the Honda 650 XL's footpegs fit on the Africa Twin.
Might be worth investigating.

i believe from Trevor (ADVRider) that they will NOT fit...

That is exactly what I pictured based on the reply from KK and would much rather have you do them if experienced. Have a branch in JHB we freight to every week so easy to get to you as well.

But this thread is about the 2016 AT; you are talking about your 15 year old AT, surely (750cc)?

PivotPegz credited me the money for the purchase as I told them I was not happy with the fit. Very unexpected and generous of them.

Halfdaft is going to modify my originals and will post back here with the finished product. This is an incredibly inexpensive solution for the problem. It appears not everybody thinks the pegs are too small but I definitely do.

funny story about Pivot Pegz...

I went to visit Australia last year, looking for direct import opportunities, (motorcycle accessories...), etc....

before leaving, I googled Pivot pegs's area code (-3-) and saw that this was in MELBOURNE, and not Sydney where i was based...

No problem, I could jump on a plane, short flight, do the business and return...

got to Sydney, phoned Pivot Pegs, and THEN they told me that TASMANIA (bloody Tassie, I tell ya') shares a dialing code with Melbourne!
(an Island in the middle of the Tasmanian Sea!!!)

the result, I never did get to see them, since Tasmania is a LONG way from Sydney!

Halfdaft sorted my DR 650 out with exactly the same looking footpegs! Great quality and super comfortable now when meerkatting!!!! He surely knows a lot about working with ysters!
