Which 450

Interested in this market range but for a road legal bike. Please help with some details for comparison.


BMW G450X Not made anymore. Latest was 2011. Cheapish with a good condition second hand one going for around R40k
2008-2011 R30k - R40k
Advantage: Already on the road with all included. Price is low for a latish year model.
Disadvantage: Front sprocket change?

KTM500  Great bike in my opinion. Expensive second hand still.
2013 R65k
Advantage: Great power and suspension
Disadvantage: Not on road, expensive

KTM530  Split oil system (is this a disadvantage or advantage?) Hear of some mod to make it one system.

Beta 480 From the video it sounds like a great bike. He says counter shaft does not wear out (suppose that means other have counter shaft issues, will cush drive prevent it?)
Newish on the market and few second hand. Will probably be expensive.
498 RR 2012 R55k
Advantage: No counter shaft, powerful,
Disadvantage: Price, not on road yet.

TE450  Many are already on the road / road legal if I remember correctly. Price?

DRZ400 Overweight and long in the tooth. Do you still get them new?
