Ja Subie, please explain?

I see quite a number of Holiday 23's for sale at the moment too. maybe the sailors can feel it in their bones that global warming will cause drought, not floods, and you can't sail in a dustbowl :lol8:
For the love of it.

Back at home after 96 days living on the boat.
Not really keen to sell my boat afterall .
Probably only in a few months after winter back on the boat. She will have to come out then to be anti fouled.

Thank you WheelieDog.
Busy stitching up my stack pack  and making a few things for my boat. Making/dreaming about trips I want to do still.
First have to overcome the antifouling hurdle when I get back to the boat.

Big storm expected wednesday. 50knotts and 8 m swells. I will later  post a video what our mooring looks like in
25 knotts wind and about 3m swells outside the harbour .
Very worried about my little boat. Happy I dived on my mooring block ,rope and chain. Doubled up my bridle ropes before I left
and tied up my roller furler well. Even cable ties around it.

Subie, that's a southerly in your video? Luckily the storm will, of course, be from the NW. So your bay should be reasonably protected.

Still ... 50 kts ...  :eek7:

No westfrogger. That is also a NNW.   Where I am moored further away from the yachtclub It is quite a bit rougher in a blow.
A south easter gale touches the water hard  about 100m north of me. Anything from the North on the outside of the moorings
where I am seems to be rough for me.  North westerns hitting hoedjieskop seems to hit me more from the north then.
While I was there now the last time I was caught in a heavy northerly blow outside Jutten Island. Took me nearly 2 hours to get back mostly motoring flat out and only making only 2 and half knotts. Picking up a mooring in that strong wind did not worry me too much as I was under the impression in the mooring area it would be a bit more sheltered. Not so. I had to hustle to pick up the bouy next to the jumping around dinghy. I have been very fortunate picking up my mooring. Never had a miss or even difficult pick up in my small boat alone.

Very worried about my little boat . Friend of mine at Saldanha is going to stay on his Dean 26 while the storm is
going. That little Dean cat has got a lot of windage. He told me the last time they have had 7 m swells outside, the club jetty was moved of its concrete supports.
This time nearly twice as strong wind and 11m swells  :eek7: Wish I were there on my boat.
Thankfull my little boat has not got much windage at this time. Thinking of the boats that looks just about abandoned
with single mooring ropes as thin as my pinky.
Phew!!

Any news and video clips?
Whataboutism . When Cold War criticisms were leveled at the Soviet Union, the response would be "What about..." followed by the naming of an event in the Western world. It represents a case of tu quoque (appeal to hypocrisy), a logical fallacy that attempts to discredit the opponent's position by asserting the opponent's failure to act consistently in accordance with that position, without directly refuting or disproving the opponent's initial argument
