Any news and video clips?

Nothing. The old hands said saldanha will only get the tail end of the storm and they felt we are worried about nothing.

The centre of the storm will only reach us between 12:00 and 14:00. So not done yet, but it appears to be more south than originally expected

All the boats are ok but the jetty was bashed loose by the swell. As soon as I work out how to get the pics from my phone to pc
I will post a few.

Glad to hear your yacht is okay.

(Two rigged (but obviously bare poles) Hobies blew over in wind-sheltered Sandbaai in Langebaan, many bits of mussel-farming platforms washed up on the lee shore near Mykonos).

Swells down at Mykonos/ Paradise beach must have been big?

Hard to believe that some of the "abandoned" boats did not get blown off their ratty mooring lines!

They not really abandoned more neglected and in the year I have been there never saw anybody at these boats.
Thick with birdshit etc. Also fully expected to hear bad news about these boats. Surprised myself there was no damage to the boats. I was somewhat confident about my boat but still worried.

I forgot about the mussel-farms. Sure there must be some damage there.

When out that side i used to putter around those boats ...slowly shaking my head...watching nature take its course in the degradation of what was once fine equipment. I'm surprised the harbour authorities have not called on them as a hazzard....or maybe they fill spots & add to the charm of the place

I'd imagine so, but never did see that part of the lagoon on Wednesday.
