After wanting to borrow a Top Box from a friend we saw when trying to fit the mounting plate that my S10 still has the original carrier bracket (see number 6 in pic), not the replaced stronger one with the metal plate in (see other 2 pics). And his had a third hole in the middle back as well.
I have a 2010 model which i bought in December 2015. He has a 2013 model. So my only guess is that my bikes previous owner never replaced the part because he didn't use a top box.
I spoke to Droomers Yamaha and they can get me the new Bracket for R1780. Is there any better options in place of this bracket?
I'm saving up for a top box but will first have to sort the bracket out.
