Did not like the 701... compared directly with 690, it was rock hard, shakes, no rev counter (like the 690), vibrates like hell, few okes complained about the gearbox. The 690 I enjouyed much more yesterday. But I must say, the 701 was a bit better when I took it the second round

So not too bad.

Literally everyone complained about that 701 test bike. The suspension was set rock hard

Not a good reflection on what the bike is really capable of I believe.

Coming off the MX scene(Not a racer though), suspension can be sorted easily I'm sure, don't diss my dream bike ok!

What do you guys think that 701 would cost with that rally fairing?

Sounds like around R209k. Its not just a fairing.

I saw the carbon instrument cluster etc. But thought it's more of a show bike then anything.

Any idea what that includes? Just for interest sake.......

The KTM Rally is something like R540k IIRC!! Etter dis baie geld

Jip...can't believe it was really it...there has to be something more to it. But then...the 690 off the floor is less expensive. So I cannot see why I would pay more for the 701, except that it looks very nice!

All in all a waste of money in my opinion, if you have been to one bike show you have been to them all, I could honestly rather go dealer hopping to see all those bikes.
