Camdeboo Pass
« on: May 26, 2016, 03:06:58 pm »
Unfortunately, this one can not be ridden on a bike as it's within a national park. So start up the car and bundle the family in for one of the most scenic passes you will find in South Africa. We rate this amongst our Top 20 favourite tarred passes with views that will blow your mind. We filmed it up and down to show the amazing views.

If it's the pass heading up to the Valley of Desolation lookout points, it can be ridden by bike.  I have done it a few times already.

Yes, I have had comms with Geoff Russell from the BMW Club in Cape Town who has confirmed that the restriction on bikes within the park has been lifted. This is great news for bikers.

Let's hope this trend continues and spreads to other national parks.

So, as Freddie Mercury once said back in 1975: "Get on your bikes and ride!"
