Howdy guys.
I'm looking at an XL that has been advertised as an '79.
What bothers me is that it has a square swing arm.
To the best of my knowledge in '79 they came out with the tubular swing arm.
Question is: When did they change from tubular to square?
Should be either 80 or 81 iirc.
Secondly does anyone know where i can enter the frame number to find out more detail on the bike as it came out?
Having had an FT500 for a good few years I miss having a nice simple and reliable 500 to tinker with and potter around on.
