So - I made a manual cam chain tensioner and fitted it to my bike.
To be honest - I ordered a Manual timing chain tensioner from overseas and when it rocked up I made some copies first and then fitted one of the copies to my bike.
I am very happy with the result. No more start up clatter on the timing chain .
It actually catches me as a surprise every time I start the bike as I had gotten so used to the clatter that is now gone.
So anyone else have a rattling timing chain - chat to me . The copies are for sale.
