hehehehehe ek was al 2 keer ini ras vandat ek zim toe getrek het Piet, dis nie ek wat profile laag hou nie  ;D

Dinge gaan voor die wind hier. Stap sonder enige brace. So al die spiere is ongelukkig weg haha die plan nou is om stadig weer die quads en hammies terug te kry en ter selfde tyd die range of motion in die knie. dit vorder baie goed en daar is so te se geen pyn nie. ek het sondag vir my eerste bicycle ride gegaan van so 8km (die buig van die knie is die uitdaging, nie die oefen soveel nie).

Maar ja, baby steps!

Is dit al lekker warm daar ini ras? vandag is dit 24 grade max hier...  ;D

In other news, I featured as a witness in the court case last week, the police charged the driver with negligent driving.

the boy is 19 years old, had a learners' licence (no licenced driver next to him), and the truck was unregistered and unlicenced.

He got $100 fine or 3 months free meals & accommodation.

Ek is verstom hy kom enigiets oor!! :eek7:

hahaha as dit n kwaai magistraat was sou hy gekak het. Terwyl ek daar gesit het het sommige mense 6maande in die chookie gekry sonder opsie van n boete.

Ek het mixed feelings gehad, aan die een kant kon hy my dood veroorsaak het (okay maar hy het nie) maar hy het my taamlik ongerief aangedoen en worst of all my bike   :'(  as gevolg daarvan sou ek gelike het dat hy n strenger straf kry.

Aan die ander kant...

ek was ook n kind   ;D  en ek weet mens kan fout maak, en as ek hof toe gesleep was en daar was n kans dat ek paar aande jail time kon kry sou ek genoeg van n skrik ontvang het om heel seker te maak ek maak nie weer die selfde fout nie.

Ek hoop maar die les was geleer en dat bikers net n klein biki veiliger sal wees hier.

(net n side note, sy $100 fout het $7000 mediese kostes en potentially $11000 bike repair kostes beteken  :imaposer: )


All's well that ends well, at the end of the day is ek super gelukkig en long term effects is weglaatbaar klein   :thumleft:

Hahaha it was a close one indeed, happened just outside domboshava so you know the area! Not ordered new bike yet, due to ridiculous bike prices here I'll have to get one in SA and import it, don't have time for that now with work commitments so probably only next year some time!

Die rede waarom die bestuurder n baie swaarder straf behoort te gekry het is dat AS dinge baie slegter verloop het. Wat as jy permanent verlam was?
Hy sal nou maar net dit ook soos jyself sien, naamlik nie-ernstig. Onthou, hy weet nie eens van jou onkostes nie.

Jammer, my "lighthearted" manier van tik het seker nie oorgedra hoe ernstig dit vir my is nie en ek besef hoe close call dit was en ek het al hele paar keer die "what if's" deur gewerk. Ek is net dankbaar dat dit nie erg was nie en ja ek dink sy straf was maar swak maar ek gaan nie slaap verloor daaroor nie, ek is bly ek het die conventional justice roete gegaan en nie die nigerian manier nie  >:D
