Fullers Hoek Pass

If ever you find yourself in the Fort Beaufort area of the Eastern Cape and you have a couple of hours spare, go and drive or ride this pass. It's fairly easy and very well designed, but the punch comes in the incredible scenery and the multitude of activities on offer. And if you're one of those super fit people, the scarcely known Fort Fordyce Nature Reserve through which this pass traverses, offers 10 bolted rock climbing routes with bizarre names like "The Labour Ward" - or you can take a lesson in basic horsemanship, or simply sit on your butt and fish for trout. This reserve was one of our 'sublime discoveries' during our recent EC filming trip and we share with you today a double video clip covering over 8 km of ascending up the Amathola mountain range. This is one for the whole family.
