I would love it if a dealer dropped the boxed bike off at my home...like a big present

Met 'n strik en als ;D Would be nice.

Dealer's back yard. They got a whole shipment of bikes in. Among those were 3 TA's, 1 Vara and 4 x CTX200's. All sold already.

These 700 TA's really go quickly. I think Honda George sold 35 in 3 months.

So where are all the new Garden Route Wild Dog members?
I think you should have a chat to Andre and tell him to tell all new buyers about us.
Perhaps I should design a small flyer that can be distributed to all dealers? ;D
There is nothing you can do about the past and you can't predict the future...all you have is the now...live it to the fullest.

Hey TR Congrats ! great colour , may you enjoy many Km's of good riding. Will you be doing any mods?

O yes - Topbox already has a list!

Very nice!  Bring it to the EC WD Bash next month?

I was wondering about that. I really want to do that trail to the dam, so maybe the CTX would be better.

Sissie!!! ;)

;D

Congrats on the bike TR. Very unexpected. Quick question; With the type of riding you usually get up to, why did you choose the TA?
Don't waste any more time.

Not answering on his behalf, but he is keeping the CTX, not replacing it.
So the TA is extending his range (and the ability to take Mrs Trailrider with) - the CTX will still be used for trailriding...

(although I suspect as he gets comfortable with the bigger bike it might see a little more rough stuff as well...)

Correct!

I was looking at XR400's and such, but those just do what the 200 does better and I am not selling the 200. So why have two bikes that do basically the same thing? The TA is a radical change, a different bike that does different things to the trail bike. It broadens the potential and compliments the "fleet" in the garage. The TA can do more mileage in less time and take a pillion. It won't go where the CTX can but I will take it as far as it can go.

Both bikes will still get lots of riding time. Trail riding remains my first love.

And if I might ad - the trend seems to be 2 bikes. My friends Eisbein, Tok-tokkie, Rooipoot etc. etc. all have big and small bikes. Now we'll use what suits whatever trip the best, where previously they had to "wait" for me on the 200 on the good roads. Each bike used for it's purpose.

Fixed ;)

I don't remember you having to wait for me and the GS last time we did a bit of technical riding ...

Does the TA have a low first gear? Or is the clutch going to take a lot of work on a trailride?

I don't know if the TA can Trailride. We'll see.

I do the rough stuff with the 200 though.
