Let me explain, the Jap cruisers mostly have better brakes, handling

and much better reliability than the American brand. All I can say in defense for Harley
is that they are the original V-twin cruiser, and the Japs are all copies.
Now in the sixties the British Triumphs, Norton's, BSA's, Velocette's, Vincent's and some more were the original performance bikes. We all know the story, of how the
Japanese came with better machines and closed down the British bike industry.
Why is HD still standing? Thank the American government, which through a long series of laws and bancruptcy bail-outs, have enabled this overpriced and under-valued
dinosaur to survive.
Every HD rider is an outlaw biker, a one %er, and it can be seen on any Sunday, with mean-looking accountants roaming the boulevards of the cities.
If you like your Harley like I like my Yamaha, fine, but there are MUCH better tools available for less money.
