I'm riding an XR650L for the last 5 years. It has been reduced to minimum weight pretty much as far as it will go - 134kg tank empty and gives me lots of smiles all the time I ride it. Nothing wrong there. The question is will a 20 year leap forward in technology give me a better experience overall? Can I ride a 500 for 25 000km and then throw a few new parts at it to get to 50K km reliably - or am I better off just riding my aircooled bike?
