A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE

I have wanted to do the Wild Coast ever since I got my KTM 1190, but was reluctant to put my new bike on dirt.  However I knew it had to come sooner than later. So recently I was invited by the Scatterings group to a 180km ride to Kob Inn and in return also invited my friend Bevan with his BMW F800GS.

On Saturday morning the 16th July we (approximately 50 people) left from East London as planned to ride 80km on tar to Kei Mouth and fill up there as it is the last decent place where we can get petrol.

From there we crossed the Kei River by ferry and head on dirt for Kentani. There we hit a right towards the Qora River Bridge. Fortunately Bevans GPS saved us as we were on our way to Wavecrest after we missed the Cats Pass turnoff.  No road signs.  After a couple of kms we made a u turn and returned to the turnoff where after we headed for the Qora River Bridge and thereafter up the Cats Pass and crossed the Qwaninga River towards Kob Inn Hotel.  All on dirt.
