So two of my friends and myself did an real nice trip from Cape Town on nature’s roads to the Mountains in Robertson where we stayed the night at my friend’s wooden huts.

We left Saturday morning at 07:00 with no rain, as we got to Brackenfell on the N1 it started raining and we pulled in at the Enigin One Stop for warm coffee. ( Within minutes we were soaking wet )

We waited about 30 min and after all decided that we are not giving this trip up left and made our way to Stellenbosch were Marco insisted he is buying extra gloves for the cold. ( I offered to buy him an pink panty on which he “kindly” declined)

We made our way over Helshoogte and took the gravel road Robertsvlei to Franchoek and stopped for some more warm coffe. We went over the pass on to Theewaterskloof, turned right and then left (R45)  now we really hit gravel.

As we got to Greyton we were just about frozen and stopped at a Restaurant called 1854 where the owner immediately  lit the fire place making it possible for us to reach our wallets. We paid for our lunch and via more gravel roads went through Reviersonderend up to the N2

From the N2 we took the DR1306 ( one of the most amazing gravel roads ever ) to Stormsvlei. From Stormsvlei we took the gravel roads to Mcgregor and then Robertson. We got to Robertson  bought some chops and wine. We then went into the mountains, did our river crossing and met up with my friend at the huts.

The time was 17:15 and now stopped raining !!!!! Woke up the next morning to find our bikes covered in ice, had breakfast and went home.
