Hello honde,

Ive been searching here for info and reviews on chain and sprockets for my f800gs, but have not found the answer i am looking for

Theres 3 options

1.) Bmw oem sprockets and oem o-ring chain(apparently they dont have an x-ring chain)
    Price around R4200 including labour!!!

Id like to add that i still have the factory set of chain and sprockets on and around 42 000 Km done on them-chain is needing adjustment  around every 1000km now for the past few times. Sprockets have minimal wear, but obviously needs to be replaced with new when getting a chain.

2.) Just bike tyre quoted me just under R3000 including fitment for a DID 525 X-ring VX chain with a choice of either PBR or JT sprockets.
Price is a lot better than bmw, but surely it can be a bit cheaper??? Do they still offer discount for WD members? I forgot to ask.

3.) Just bike tyre quoted me around R4200 including fitment with the same chain as above but with tri-metal sprockets by sprocketworx (stealth sprockets) that are apparently so good that when the chain goes you only need to replace the chain! Think they said the rear is about R2000-R2300 and front R400-R600 and chain R1300-R1500    so coming to around R4200 with fitment. Should i save a bit more and go with these fancy sprockets? Im waiting on a quote from chain tech sa on the above

So should i go with option 2 or option 3?
Does anyone have experience with these?
Any other advice welcome ;D

Thanks honde
