Groenie, Transporter and myself decided to brave the early morning cold and go for a morning quickie!
I was up up at 7:00, dressed and cheers to the Mrs.
First to arrive at the BP/Wimpy on Jean Rd
First Transporter arrived on his new HP2 - All I can say - WOW, what a machine!
Then Groenie arrived after falling twice. And we haven't even started yet! - I'll let him explain eepwall:
After everybody filled up, off we went @ 8:30
The first bit of technical was the hill climb up to the water tower at the top of the koppie in Irene - Groenie has pics
Groenie and I went up the easier route off to the side and Transporter just went straight up the middle. HP2 = confidence ;D ;D
Then down a single track to the Irene subway.
I managed to break my gearlever on a rock 1/2 way down. So 2nd all the way to the end
I thought of this senario a while back and cable tied my old one under my seat. :ricky: :imaposer:
10min to replace the damage and off we went.
Followed the tracks in the bush behind Cornwill Hill - see pic 1- Transporter coming down the track.
From there over the R21 and hit the tracks towards Kempton.
Stopped at the first river crossing so Groenie could take a smoke. - see pic 2
I was first over no problems.
Then Transporter went just about 1/2 meter to the left of my line, and his comments - "Jyt gese nie diep nie!" - and the General was Baptised. ;D

Groenie brought up the rear - pic 5
