The biggest problem occurs when you fit a car tyre to a motorcycle rim. The PROFILE is different apparently and the 2 units does not match well.
But in my case it is a car tyre on a car rim so that problem does not exist.
I have met a guy years ago in Voortrekker road at the old motorcycle shop (workshop was on second floor)
Well know guy - everyone seemed to know him: His name Jimmy and he was riding a Yamaha V-max with a car tyre.
Very big man - a real gentle giant! I asked him why and he said that he just can't afford to change bike tyres every other week at the going price and he loved straight line acceleration which the V-Max was know for. It looked rather good as well but back then I did not asked what rim he was using.
It makes a lot of sense and I am sure there are many more examples. Bike tyres is really very expensive especially when you look at the killos the give.
With the sidecar this makes a lot more sense - maybe it will take a while loner to heat up on a cold day.
Would be interesting to see how many kilometres this tyre will give, but my guess is 40 000km+
