Hi Dogs,

I just purchased a lovely motorcycle travel book from Schalk Van Der Merwe a fellow Wild Dog. I have ridden with Schalk though Lesotho and even have him mentioned in a ride report where he had a rather spectacular crash which I witnessed, where he almost went off a cliff face on route to Lesotho.

He is a tough old bugger and just picked his bike up and continued riding with banged up knees and a damaged shoulder. Anyway I have been reading the book and thought I would give it a punt and recommend it other Wild Dogs.

Schalk is using the money raised from his book to fund his next trip and at R250 a pop I think it’s well worth the money and a nice addition to add to an existing library or even as a first adventure book.

Well done Oom Schalk, it’s really fantastic to see someone be brave enough to do what his heart actually tells him. Thank you for the lovely autographed copy and I hope you sell many more and have many more adventures.

Please can I ask that we support Schalk and purchase a book and give him the means to follow his dream of an around the world trip.

Cheers
Mitch

Also got the book.
Would have bought it if it was filled with blank pages - it's not ,  it's decent,  and for r250 for a momento and a contirbution.
The thread was awesome,  and for free.
Give oom schalk a hand.

Thanks Tom and Lem I appreciate the support. That's my book plus two more tonight so it's three books sold today for Schalk. Three more towards his trip than yesterday.

Ah I love it when a plan comes together. :thumleft:

Hi guys thanks for all the kind words above, it really humbles me and motivates me at the same time. Yes it is also true, if I can sell enough books I am going to continue on the around the world trip soon. The plan has changed slightly. As I had to come back from Egypt as they would not allow me through the Suez Canal I am going to do it the other way around. From Argentina in South America and then going north. I have done 33000 km so far and another        150 000 km still awaits me. So more RR awaits you all and another book at the end of the trip.

The book can be obtained from the following places.

Will be in Vilakazi st street in Soweto from tomorrow(15/08/16) to promote my book to tourist in case any body want to get hold of me. From 11 am-5 pm daily. Close to Mandela's house.
