So I have just done my valve clearance again and I'm down another 0.1mm only on the intake side, exhaust side has never gotten tight. I'm now on 215 and 220 which means after the next check I'll be doing my valves over. That's now on 17500km which I think is quite steep. I have got a foam air filter and greased all around the sealing lip. When I first got the bike the paper filter let a little fine dust in and I immediately checked valves which were so out I couldn't get my feeler gauge in at all now checking them again and they are on their way there again. No dust in air box this time round. What can I do about this why they wearing so much quicker than they should be? Residual dust still on valves?

Also while I was at it I checked the CAM and noticed some wear on the rollers (didn't check the bearings - it's tight in the there to get the cam out safely) do there pics look like a problem waiting to happen or am I just getting paranoid?

I'm planning a 6000km trip to Bots and Nam in December and would not normally do another valve check before then. I don't want to have any trouble in the bush fending off the big five while stuck on some cut line in the middle of no where. Need some technical advice on this one.
