Ive been flying drones using Ipads and Galaxy tabs for a while now. the problem is the glare, Its a bitch to use outside in bright sunlight.
You will need a sun screen/shield, add dust and it will be impossible to see anything. The new Ipad air 2 screen is much beter in sunlight.
