KTM 640 Side-stand - Advice?
« on: August 27, 2016, 08:44:12 am »
I have a 2004 640 and love it to bits...the only down-side is the lack of a kickstand, which, as I discovered in the mountainous Lesotho recently can be problematic when there is no flat land in sight! Any views out there on the best place to source a side-stand and/or any other relevant advice?

Got a sw motech sidestand for my 640 from ChrisL on the forum. Works great and stong enough to mount the bike from the footpeg which shorties like me do

As far as I know, the 2004- models can take the SW Motech, which retains the centre stand.
I have the OEM sidestand on the 2003, you have to choose, and I don't think the SW Motech fits it.
