Kloof Pass

This little known, but beautiful tarred pass lies in the far northern sector of Limpopo and traverses the escarpment. It features a complex bridge, which must have one of the sharpest corners built into its structure, virtually forming a hairpin as the bridge spans a deep ravine. The bridge is also cambered and climbs simultaneously. All in all there is some great engineering to be seen along this pass which includes some cuttings of almost 20m high and they are vertical in many places. The biggest danger here is falling rocks and temporary catch walls appear along the pass, causing quite a hazardous situation for anyone using the emergency lanes.
