Did you move the number plate light as well ?
Whatever you're thinking, think the opposite

Nope just unplugged it. Figured the rear light illuminates the number plate enough? I can always just use double sided tape and fix it to the rear fender.

Also installed the Rade Twin air filter. Have not installed the tank yet

Which tank? Does this also replace the airbox or is it the one that bolts onto the airbox? Sorry the pic is a little small

Where did you buy it?

Dwerg this is the the auxiliary tank kit from Rade garage. Kit includes the Twin air filter and the tank with all the fittings. You completely remove the original airbox and install the small airbox and Twin Air filter. The aux tank then goes where the original airbox was. Will take better pics tonight.

Bought the kit from Chris at Flying brick. They have it for the 690 as well.

a clearer picture for you, Dwerg: it shows the PREVIOUS set-up, since superseded by the newer Twin-Air set-up, but you get the general idea.

That looks like a win win situation, no more dust sucking issues and extra fuel. How much fuel in the aux tank?

there was 6L with the previous K&N filter set-up, they had to SLIGHTLY reduce the size of the tank with the newer Twin-Air set-up, so I THINK it is as near as dammit 5.9L.

Sure - RADE had those good-looking caps made up, and they leaked, so he went back to original non-leaking cap as an interim measure while he sourced a new Billet-style cap, will ask RADE what progress, and revert...
Hi Chris:
Many of you are calling for blue alu fuel cap. The Chinese one was nice but crap and did not worked. So we designed ours - works perfect. Now we need our supplier to produce many of them... sounds easy but those guys are always busy.... I hope in April we have the stock... RADE.

I'll go out on a limb here: too long tube, may be squashed (under a tankbag?) and then will not function.
I'll cut mine shorter in any case, and regarding my cap I'll have mine anodized blue  ;)

Oh, any idea about the type/standard of the cap/tank's thread as supplied, is it a Acerbis type, or something else?
If I know I may find something on the net, that's why.

@BuRP

Have you decided which method you are going to use to connect the two tanks? Rade method or drill into tank directly?

Yip I have, had already the moment I saw Amsterdam's post: drill tank & mount KTM petcock!

This spot sits on the vertical front of the tank, right-side near the bottom.... check your own bike, my hunch is they all have these inserts & indentation.
The tap will be there, just-reachable, and completely out of the way of anything, it'll make for a neat installation.
Mind, I'll remove the complete tank, quite a bit of work probably but to me worth it.

Great, yes I had a look already, the indents are there. Will also be following this method. How much are the KTM petcocks?

I often ride with a tank bag and end up pulling the bag a little backwards.  So your suggestion of cutting the tube short makes sense and might give me a bit more seat room.  Won't be more than a few centimetres though as otherwise your tank bag sits against the key.  I'll try that when I get my bike back.

Those KTM petcocks are a few Rand shy of R 300.
