tiger 800xc, what to look out for?

I am thinking of getting a 2013/14 800xc.
One thing I have noticed is that there is quite a lot of these 800`s in the market Gauteng area, seems like they are quite popular for day to day grinding up country.
OK, obviously dealer infra structure is not that big CT area but that is not an issue for me, I am sure Dux can take good care of that triple.
Other thing I have noticed is that there are a lot of the xcx version(the one with the WP suspension) up for sale, barely used.
Are there any issues with these bikes, especially the xc version?

There is the problem with the stepper motor acting up if you ride in a lot of dust, if you google it, there is a bit on it (800Xc). There are ways of preventing it, just cant remember what though as I have the Xcx and those dont suffer the same problem.
The main air filter is s bit of a mission to get to, but I put on a pre-filter so I just keep that clean and oiled.

Other than that, nothing I can think of. They are great bike, sound great and you cant go wrong.

My friend has one.  Very good bike.  He's had it for about 4 years and 37 000 km and hasn't had any problems with the bike.  He has it serviced at Mike Hopkins once a year and that's that.
